Brad Paisley nabs six ACM nominations
Brad Paisley , who already has three Academy of Country Music Awards in his trophy case, leads the pack of nominees for this year's ACM honors.
Paisley is vying for ACMs in six categories: Top Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year for "Time Well Wasted," Single Record of the Year for "Alcohol," and Song of the Year, Video of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year for "When I Get Where I'm Going," a duet with Dolly Parton.
Close on Paisley's heels are Brooks & Dunn and Sugarland , with five nominations each.
Nominees were announced during a Wednesday morning (3/8) press conference in Nashville that featured Rascal Flatts and Carrie Underwood --the first confirmed performers scheduled to appear on the upcoming ACM Awards telecast. Additional presenters and performers will be announced.
The 41st Annual Academy of Country Music Awards will be broadcast live May 23 by CBS-TV from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
