On the heels of announcing plans for a short stint of spring dates, Jimmy Buffett [ tickets ] has unveiled the itinerary for a 10-city summer amphitheater tour.

The Parrotthead leader's summer outing is broken into two five-city stints, one in June and one in August. He'd previously announced a four-city spring trek, which opens April 18 in Phoenix. Ticket on-sale information for all confirmed dates is in the itinerary below.

Buffett is also scheduled to appear at this year's New Orleans Jazz Festival. Though his exact time slot hasn't been announced, he's expected to take the stage sometime during the May 5-7 weekend.

Buffett's latest release is last November's "Live in Fenway Park," which captures his performances at the historic Boston ballpark on Sept. 10 and 12, 2004. The collection includes two CDs that contain 32 songs, plus a bonus DVD with performances of 15 songs.

His latest studio album is 2004's "License To Chill," which features guest appearances by several country artists, including Kenny Chesney, George Strait and Toby Keith. Included on the set is a cover of Hank Williams' "Hey Good Lookin'" (featuring Clint Black, Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith and George Strait) and follow-up single "Trip Around the Sun" (featuring Martina McBride).

Early this month, Buffett--who has a signature channel on Sirius Satellite Radio dubbed "Radio Margarativille"--called into the station for an on-air chat, during which he said that he is working on a new album that he hopes to release in the fall.
