Buckcherry returns with new album, tour
Hard rockers Buckcherry have announced a slate of concert appearances for early 2006 in support of "Fifteen," the band's first new album in four years.
The Los Angeles band, which played a string of dates in its hometown in December, will kick off their tour close to home with a Jan. 28 show in West Hollywood before tackling a far-flung, 12-city schedule that will take the band to the Pacific Northwest and the northern parts of the Midwest.
"Fifteen," which hit stores in November, was the band's first full-length release since 2001's "Time Bomb." The group had been in hiatus since the release of that album, following the temporary departure of lead singer and founding member Josh Todd.
"We had to take a break and assess what was important, and that's creating music that fills what we see as a current void for classic rock with a modern edge," guitarist Keith Nelson said in a press release.
Nelson also produced "Fifteen," which features the debut of three new Buckcherry members: guitarist Steve D.; drummer Xavier Muriel; and bassist Jimmy Ashhurst. The trio was recruited to the band to replace departed members after what the group terms an "exhaustive search."
A video for Buckcherry's current single, "Crazy Bitch," can be found on the band's website.
