Clap Your Hands Say Yeah ready for spring tour

Tirelessly self-promoting indie rockers Clap Your Hands Say Yeah have announced a slate of shows for March and April, with the band still supporting its self-titled debut album from 2005.

The Brooklyn-based five-piece band, which still doesn't have a record contract, will hit Philadelphia on March 7, the first of more than 25 dates on the group's spring schedule.

The band will extensively tour in Europe during February before heading back home for the North American dates. The group's full European itinerary can be found on its website.

Included in the band's itinerary is a March 12 appearance at Florida's Langerado Festival, a two-day event at a sprawling regional park in the Everglades. The Flaming Lips, Wilco and Ben Harper highlight the festival's roster of acts.

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah's self-titled debut album, released last September, was also self-produced, self-released and self-promoted. The band even distributed the album itself, right down to licking the stamps on the CD mailers and selling copies of the disc at live shows.

The band will release a version of its debut album on vinyl Jan. 24, which can be ordered through its website.
