Ghostface album due, Wu-Tang Clan to reunite for gigs

Hip-hop collective Wu-Tang Clan is set to launch an East Coast tour in February, just ahead of the release of a new album from group member Ghostface Killah .

Wu-Tang Clan performances have been rare in recent years--and tours even less frequent--because the group's principals all have successful solo careers. Its members haven't performed as a unit since November of 2004, the night before Wu-Tang rapper Ol' Dirty Bastard--who didn't show up for that gig--collapsed and died.

Meanwhile, Ghostface will release his fifth album, "Fishscale," on Feb. 28, according to Def Jam Records. The set's first single, "Back Like That," features up-and-coming rapper Ne-Yo. Among the producers who had a hand in "Fishscale" are MF Doom, Pete Rock, J.Dilla and MadLib, among others.

"'Fishscale' is just me showing that I can still ball with the best of them," Ghostface said in a statement posted on his website. "With each album I learn, so this album has the most knowledge of all of them."

Wu-Tang Clan member Raekwon guests on four songs on "Fishscale," and the entire group appears on "Wu United."
