Rascal Flatts get busy with winter tour
Dubbed the "Me & My Gang" tour, the roadtrip opens at the end of January, and will also feature Blake Shelton on all dates, as well as Keith Anderson and Jason Aldean , who will alternate through the tour's second support slot, as noted below.
The itinerary so far stretches into late March. Tickets for all of the tour's February performances hit the box office during the next three weekends, while tickets for the March concerts go on sale next month. Details are included in the itinerary below.
Fans can expect a 90-minute performance from Rascal Flatts, according to a press release.
Rascal Flatts have kept up a busy tour schedule in support of their fourth album, 2004's "Feels Like Today," which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 album chart, and has since been certified triple platinum, signifying U.S. shipment of 3 million copies. The set was the seventh best-selling album of 2005, according to Nielsen SoundScan figures.
The group launched its tour behind the set a year ago, and wrapped up its 2005 roadwork in early December. Over the course of the year, the band logged shows in 70 cities, and played for a total of about 750,000 fans, according to a press release, earning it the distinction of being the No. 2 best-selling country tour of the year, behind Kenny Chesney.
Last month, Rascal Flatts picked up their first Grammy nomination. The group is vying for a trophy in the Best Country Vocal Performance for Duo or Group category for the hit single "Bless the Broken Road."
"It is such an amazing honor to be nominated," lead singer Gary LeVox said in a statement. "We view the Grammys as the pinnacle of our business and, even as blessed as we have been so far in our careers, this is the one thing we've really hoped for."
The Grammys take place Feb. 8 at The Staples Center in Los Angeles, and will air live on CBS-TV.
