Jessica Simpson will open the 32nd Annual People's Choice Awards on Jan. 10, performing her cover of Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots are Made for Walkin'," from this summer's motion picture "The Dukes of Hazard."

The track is nominated in the Favorite Song from a Movie category.

The People's Choice Awards air live on CBS-TV from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Bee Gees member Barry Gibb has purchased the 13,880-square-foot Hendersonville, TN, home where the late Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash lived for 35 years, the Associated Press reports. The Nashville area home sits on 4.6 acres.
