Briefly: 3 Doors Down, Kanye West, Marilyn Manson, Pharrell Williams
Rockers 3 Doors Down , who hail from Mississippi's hurricane-ravaged Gulf Coast, are scheduled to perform a Dec. 10 benefit show at Alabama's Mobile Convention Center.
The sold-out show will raise money for the band's charitable arm, The Better Life Foundation, which will donate all proceeds to aid victims of Hurricane Katrina along the Gulf Coast.
The benefit was originally scheduled to take place at the Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi, MS, but the casino was destroyed by the hurricane just days before its grand opening was scheduled to take place.
Rapper Kanye West and Musicland retailers have teamed for the Free U. College Giveaway, in which a $150,000 prize will be awarded toward the cost of a winner's four-year college education. Fans can fill in entry ballots at Sam Goody, Suncoast and Media Play stores.
Shock-rocker Marilyn Manson reportedly wed his longtime girlfriend, Dita Von Teese, in Ireland on Saturday (12/3).
Pharrell Williams , half of the super-producer duo The Neptunes, issues his debut solo album, "In My Mind," on Jan. 24.
The set's first single, "Can I Have It Like That," features Gwen Stefani.
