Briefly: Collective Soul, Daniel Johnston, Chris Cornell, Nick Lachey

Collective Soul releases the new DVD "Home: A Live Concert Recording with the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra" on Feb. 7, according to the band's publicist. A two-disc album of the same name is due on the same day.

DirecTV is scheduled to broadcast highlights from the DVD as December's "Free View Concert."

"Working with the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra was really a unique experience," frontman Ed Roland said in a press release. "I never imagined that all of these young musicians could make our songs sound so beautiful in the most classic sense."

Indie-rock icon Daniel Johnson has been hospitalized in his hometown of Waller, TX, since last week. According a statement on Johnston's official website, the artist's family summoned emergency help when he became incoherent and was unable to walk.

In the statement, Johnston's father says that the suspected cause of the episode is lithium poisoning. Johnston takes the drug--along with many other prescriptions--due to his history of mental illness. Johnston is also a borderline diabetic, and is tested daily to control his blood-sugar levels.

Billboard reports that Chris Cornell has filed suit against his ex-wife Susan J. Silver--who also was once his manager--for more than $1 million.

Among numerous claims, the suit alleges that some of the money owed to Cornell was improperly diverted to his former Soundgarden bandmates.
