Toby Keith schedules another 'throwdown' for January

Toby Keith is set to continue his "Big Throwdown II" tour, next year this time with support from Joe Nichols , Danielle Peck and Scotty Emerick .

After a busy summer that saw Keith take a different version of the tour to dozens of cities around the country, the current version is so far scheduled to visit five cities, starting with a Jan. 20 appearance in Portland, OR.

Pre-sale tickets for the four January shows go on sale Wednesday (11/30); details are posted on Keith's website.

The tour continues to support "Honkytonk University," Keith's first new studio album since 2004's quadruple-platinum "Shock'N Y'All." In the interim, Keith issued the double-platinum set "Greatest Hits 2" last fall.

Keith recently took home the trophy for Music Video of the Year at the Country Music Association's award show. The award was Keith's second, after being named Male Vocalist of the Year in 2001.
