Briefly: Courtney Love, Kylie Minogue, RZA, Gary Glitter

Courtney Love , who in August was sentenced to enter a lock-down substance-abuse treatment center due to probation violations, has been given the go-ahead to enter an outpatient program.

Though she'll no longer be confined in rehab, a judge has ordered her to submit to twice-weekly drug and alcohol tests, and Love will only be allowed to leave her home under limited circumstances, according to an Associated Press report.

Love was sentenced to three years probation in February after she pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge. That charge was related to a 2004 incident in which she allegedly threw a liquor bottle at a woman she found sleeping on the sofa at the home of a former boyfriend.

Love's latest legal troubles are due to a July 22 incident at the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles, where Love allegedly had a "drug-related fainting spell." Drug use violates the terms of her probation.

Australian pop star Kylie Minogue , who called off a planned tour of her home country earlier this year after she was diagnosed with breast cancer, plans to reschedule the tour for late 2006, according to tour promoter Frontier Touring.

The 37-year-old singer underwent surgery to remove the cancer earlier this year. Doctors said the operation was successful.

"Our aim is to give Kylie the time she needs to recover fully," promoter Michael Gudinski said in a press release. "We appreciate that the end of next year is a long time away for ticket holders and the option of refunding tickets will remain available to fans."

A Nov. 22 release date is set for the soundtrack to "Derailed," on which Wu-Tang Clan mastermind the RZA served as executive producer. Acts who appear on the album include Rular Rah, Thea, Grayson Hill (on a remake Paul Simon's "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover") and Maurice.

Police in Vietnam reportedly have detained British rocker Gary Glitter , 61, and reportedly are investigating allegations that he was involved in "obscene acts with a child," said an Associated Press report, quoting an account in a Vietnamese newspaper.

Authorities reportedly have interviewed a 15-year-old girl they found in a home Glitter was renting, and are seeking evidence of sexual child abuse. Under Vietnamese law, Glitter could face the death penalty if convicted of child molestation.

Glitter was convicted in 1999 of possessing child pornography, and served a two-month jail sentence.
