Kelly Clarkson has announced a Dec. 21 concert in San Jose, CA, that will be free for fans who saw her perform in the area earlier this year.

On Sept. 4, Clarkson played a show at UC Berkeley's Greek Theatre, which was her last performance before being diagnosed with bronchitis. Though she was able to finish the entire Sept. 4 show, she "knew it could be better," according to a press release.

"I love my fans and they deserve the best that I can give," Clarkson said in a statement. "I promised them I'd come back when I was healthy and I am really looking forward to making this up to them."

Concertgoers who attended the Sept. 4 show will be contacted through Ticketmaster and offered the opportunity to attend the Dec. 21 show for free, according to organizers. Additional tickets will be sold to the general public beginning on Sunday (11/13).

Garth Brooks used his Thursday (11/10) night appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" to unveil a new five-CD, one-DVD box set that includes 11 previously unreleased songs. Priced at $25, the set will be available exclusively at Wal-Mart and Sam's Club locations nationwide beginning at 5 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 25, while supplies last.

In August, Brooks and Wal-Mart announced that the they had cut a multi-year deal that makes Wal-Mart, Sam's Club and WalMart.com the exclusive retailers of all of Brooks' music.

Geffen Records has announced a Dec. 20 release date for Mary J. Blige 's forthcoming album, "The Breakthrough." The set, which is her seventh, will feature the single "Da MVP."

Female metal quartet Kittie has a signed a deal with Rock Ridge Music that will yield a digital EP and ringtones early next year. Meanwhile, the group continues to work on its next full-length album, according to a press release.
