Beanie Sigel behind bars again

Rapper Beanie Sigel , who was released from prison in August after serving a nearly year-long sentence on a weapons charge, was ordered jailed Thursday (11/10) for failure to pay child support.

A Philadelphia Family Court judge reportedly sentenced the 31-year-old rapper, who was born Dwight Grant, to serve six months, but added that Sigel will be released if he pays $26,000 in child support and $2,000 in fines.

According to the Associated Press, Sigel owes child support to children by two different mothers, and one case dates back at least two years.

Sigel's recently completed prison stint was related to a 2002 incident in which police said he fled during a traffic stop. A subsequent search of his SUV turned up a loaded handgun, Oxycodone, codeine and marijuana.

In September, Sigel was found not guilty of attempted murder. That case was in connection with a July 2003 incident in which he was accused of shooting a man in West Philadelphia.
