Dave Matthews / Tim Reynolds Unveil March Tour Dates
Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds will continue their winter tour -- which launches Tuesday (1/19) in Richmond, VA -- through at least early March with new dates set for California and the southwest region of the country. The new itinerary, announced via the Dave Matthews Band official web site, also brings the duo back to Luther College in Decorah, IA, the site where Live At Luther College, set for release on Tuesday, was recorded.
Matthews is expected to spend considerable time on the road again this year, following last year's lead, which earned the Dave Matthews Band the second-highest ranking in US concert grosses for the year, drawing in just over $40 million in ticket sales, according to Pollstar magazine. Tentative plans for 1999 have the Dave Matthews Band embarking on an outdoor amphitheatre tour in the spring and summer, with a number of stadium shows routed into the tour plan.
The tour routing for Matthews' current acoustic run takes Matthews and Reynolds extensively through the college circuit, focusing on markets not often visited by the full band on larger-venue tours.
