Pink Floyd's Live "Wall" Album Due In April

EMI will release Pink Floyd 's "Is There Anybody Out There? The Wall Live," in the U.K. on April 10, and Columbia will release it in the U.S. on April 18. The double CD of live "Wall" material will exclusively concentrate on London performances in 1980 and 1981, and will include two unreleased songs.

Last fall, EMI said that it had 48-track live recordings of shows from Los Angeles (February 1980), New York (February 1980), Dortmund, Germany (February 1981) and London (August 1980 and June 1981). Floyd producer James Guthrie has now chosen 28 songs from the two London performances at Earls Court to create a composite live version for the new album.

The unreleased tracks are "The Last Few Bricks" and "What Shall We Do Now?" The latter was part of the the film "The Wall," but wasn't released on an album.

To give fans a taste of the album, Columbia Records has a website that will stream the track ``Young Lust'' for twenty-four hours, beginning at midnight (EST) on March 15.

To commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the London shows, Roger Waters and David Gilmour will each hold Internet chat sessions at http://events.msn.co.uk. Waters has scheduled a chat on Monday, March 13, at 4 p.m. (EST). Gilmour's is scheduled for Thursday, March 16, at 3 p.m. (EST).

The release of ''Is There Anybody Out There? The Wall Live'' has been delayed several times, most recently last December.
