Phish Solidifies Fall Touring Plans

More than a month before the band begins a summer amphitheater tour, Phish 's touring plans for the fall have been announced on the band's official website.

The fall leg focuses mainly on the West Coast and northeastern U.S. It opens June 21 in Albany, N.Y., and closes with October 6 and 7 performances in the San Francisco Bay area. Traditional ticketing outlets will begin selling tickets for the fall dates in late July, and on-sale dates will be rolled out through mid-August. Phish also sells tickets to its shows through a tickets-by-mail program, the details of which are available on the band's official website.

Phish will open its 2000 touring season with sold-out May 21 and 22 gigs at Radio City Music Hall in New York. The band will begin a month-long summer tour on June 22 in the Nashville area. The band is no longer selling tickets for the summer shows through its tickets-by-mail program, but tickets will go on sale though traditional ticketing outlets in several markets on May 14.

In other Phish news, the band is scheduled to appear on CBS-TV's Late Show with David Letterman on May 16, the day the band's new studio recording "Farmhouse" is scheduled to hit stores. A track from the album titled "Heavy Things" has been shipped to radio stations.
