John Legend sets more U.S. live dates
Carrying on with an extremely busy touring year, R&B artist John Legend has lined up a trek through the Eastern U.S. that will keep him on the road from late October through November.
Legend began the year supporting Alicia Keys on her North American dates, and followed that outing with tours of Europe and Japan. He wrapped up a lengthy round of summer dates at the end of August, then headed to Australia for more shows.
The singer continues to back his inaugural album, "Get Lifted," which hit stores last December. The set debuted at No. 7 on The Billboard 200 album chart and rose to No. 4 during its second week out. Produced by platinum rapper Kanye West, "Get Lifted" features the cuts "Used to Love U" and "Ordinary People."
In August, Legend issued a duet remix of his song "So High" that features vocals by Lauren Hill. It marked Hill's first recorded appearance since 2002's "MTV Unplugged 2.0."
"The first time I ever appeared on a major album was when I played piano on 'Everything is Everything' from 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,'" Legend said in a press release. "I have been wanting to work with her again ever since. It's great to see that wish finally come true."
