Rock legends Aerosmith [ tickets ] will mount a headlining tour this fall that will feature retro-rocker Lenny Kravitz [ tickets ], normally a headliner himself, in the opening slot.

The outing kicks off Oct. 30 with a two-night stand (10/30, 11/1) at Connecticut's Mohegan Sun Casino, and dates so far stretch into early December. The initial itinerary is included below, and more shows will be added.

Aerosmith is hitting the road behind its forthcoming live set, "Rockin' the Joint," which captures the group's January 2002 performance at Las Vegas club The Joint, a 3,000-person capacity venue located inside the Hard Rock Hotel. Scheduled to hit stores Oct. 25, the DualDisc-formatted release will include an audio-only side containing 11 tracks, and a DVD side featuring the entire album mixed in Enhanced PCM Stereo, as well as video footage of the band performing four songs during the Vegas gig.

"We went back to the beginning of the band's career for some of these songs," guitarist Joe Perry said in a statement. "We had fun knocking the dust off them but it was a little nerve-racking too, because we hadn't played some of the songs in a while. I think we've only played 'No More No More' live a total of 20 times in our entire career. We were going on muscle memory for some of these, which gave our performance an edge."

"Rockin' the Joint" follows Aerosmith's most recent studio set, last year's "Honkin' on Bobo," an all-blues album.

Kravitz continues to back his 2004 release, "Baptism."
