Foo Fighters, Weezer pile on additional shows

With four new shows announced this week, the recently launched Foo Fighters /Weezer co-headlining tour continues to grow.

New to the trek's schedule are gigs in Bridgeport, CT; the Boston area; Portland, OR; and Seattle. Tickets for all four shows--which will feature Hot Hot Heat in the opening slot--go on sale Friday or Saturday; details are in the itinerary below.

The co-headlining tour got underway Sept. 8 in the Atlanta area, and dates are currently set through October.

Foo Fighters released their fifth album, the two-disc set "In Your Honor," in June. Disc One features hard-edged rockers, while Disc Two largely houses acoustic tracks.

Weezer is backing its new LP, "Make Believe," which hit stores in May and debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 album chart.
