Audioslave rocks North America this fall
Brace yourself, North America: rock supergroup Audioslave is gearing up for a full-scale assault on the continent this fall as it continues to back its sophomore album, "Out of Exile."
The group is slated to launch the run on the West Coast in late September, and stops throughout the U.S. and Canada run into mid-November. An initial list of dates and cities is included below; venues have not yet been announced.
Fellow rock outfits Seether and Kasabian will hold down the tour's opening slots.
Concertgoers can expect to hear Audioslave--former Rage Against the Machine members Tom Morello (guitar), Tim Commerford (bass) and Brad Wilk (drums), and former Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell--pepper its live set with material from the Rage and Soundgarden archives, a practice that the group avoided during its tour behind its self-titled, 2002 debut.
Released in May, "Out of Exile" debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart and has sold almost 700,000 copies in the U.S., thanks in part to its lead-off single and No. 1 hit "Be Yourself," as well as follow-up cut "Your Time Has Come," both of which are streaming at Audioslave's website.
The set also features the group's latest Top 10 hit, "Doesn't Remind Me."
