Rascal Flatts extend tour into the winter
The group, which is catching its breath after wrapping up the latest leg of its "Here's to You" tour in Delaware on Sunday (7/30), will return to the tour trail in mid-August, and has unveiled dates and cities for more shows that run from mid-October into early December. Details are included below.
Venues for the new shows weren't confirmed at press time, but the group plans to play "larger venues this fall [and winter] due to increasing ticket demand," according to a press release.
Blake Shelton will continue to open for the group through the end of the year, while Keith Anderson and Blaine Larsen will take turns in the tour's second support slot.
Rascal Flatts are supporting their third album, last September's "Feels Like Today," which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 album chart and has since sold more than 2 million copies, according to a press release. The album includes the tour's namesake cut, "Here's To You," as well as the group's current hit, "Fast Cars and Freedom," which recently peaked at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Singles & Tracks chart.
Since January, Rascal Flatts have played in 40 cities for a total of about 350,000 fans; the group's outing is the fourth most-ticketed tour of the year, according to a press release.
