Huey Lewis [ tickets ] & The News have added more dates to the next leg of their 25th anniversary tour, a run that frontman Lewis will follow with a turn in the Broadway revival of "Chicago."

Lewis and his band launch their next round of shows Saturday (7/29) in Iowa, and dates are stacked up through early October. Details are included below.

In addition to their anniversary roadtrip, Lewis and company have also marked their quarter-century milestone with a live CD and DVD. Titled "Live at 25," the set--which hit stores in May--was recorded last December during a two-night stand in Chico, CA.

Following the conclusion of his group's anniversary outing, Lewis will head to the Big Apple to make his Broadway debut in "Chicago," which is playing at the Ambassador Theatre. Lewis, who begins his stint with the show on Nov. 1, will take on the role of attorney Billy Flynn.

Lewis' acting resume includes roles in movies such as "Duets," "Shadow of a Doubt" and "Sphere," as well as on the television shows "Just Shoot Me" and "One Tree Hill."

Best known for their '80s-era batch of hits, Huey Lewis & The News have continued to tour steadily over the years. The group's most-recent studio album is 2001's "Plan B," which is its first collection of new material since 1991's "Hard at Play."

Lewis' band features original members Johnny Colla (guitar, sax), Bill Gibson (drums), and Sean Hopper (keyboards), as well as longtime member John Pierce (bass) and 2000 addition Stef Burns (guitar). Lewis' horn section--known as the News Brothers--consists of Marvin McFadden (trumpet), Rob Sudduth (sax) and Ron Stallings (sax).

"Sports," released in 1983, remains the group's most commercially successful album to date. It features the Top 10 hits "I Want a New Drug," "The Heart of Rock & Roll," "If This Is It" and "Heart and Soul," and has been certified seven-times platinum, according to the Recording Industry Association of America.
