Briefly: Lil' Kim, Live 8, Sevendust, Paul Weller

Rapper Lil' Kim is headed for a year-long stint in prison in September, but that won't stop the release of her new album, "The Naked Truth."

The set is due in stores Sept. 13, about a week before she's scheduled to begin serving her sentence for lying to a federal jury. (She was convicted in March of covering up for two friends who were involved in a 2001 shooting outside of a New York City radio station.)

"Shut Up Bitch," the album's first single, was released this week.

MTV and VH1 will each broadcast five hours of commercial-free Live 8 concert footage, recorded during last week's concerts, on Saturday (7/9).

Atlanta's Sevendust will release "Next," their fifth album, on Oct. 11.

Paul Weller's new album, "As Is Now," will be released in the U.S. and Canada this September. The set's first single, "From the Floorboards Up," will be available on iTunes beginning July 19, according to Yep Roc Records.
