Gwen Stefani maps fall tour with Black Eyed Peas
No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani plans to back her multi-platinum solo debut, "Love. Angel. Music. Baby.," with a U.S. arena tour that will also feature The Black Eyed Peas .
Dubbed the "Harajuku Lovers" tour, the outing--which takes its name from Stefani's forthcoming fashion line--launches in mid-October, and is so far scheduled to visit 16 cities by mid-November. The itinerary is included below.
Released last December, "Love. Angel. Music. Baby." is double-platinum certified for shipping two million copies in the U.S., and has sold more than five million copies worldwide, according to Interscope Records. Fueling sales are a trio of singles: "What You Waiting For?," "Rich Girl" and latest hit "Hollaback Girl," which recently reached No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 Airplay chart, and currently sits at No. 3.
Meanwhile, Stefani's future tourmates, The Black Eyed Peas, follow her on that chart with their single "Don't Phunk with My Heart," which occupies the No. 4 slot. The cut is featured on the group's new album, "Monkey Business," which landed in stores earlier this month.
Interscope has chosen "Cool" as the next single off of Stefani's "Love. Angel. Music. Baby." MTV will premiere the song's music video next week, according to the label.
Last week, Stefani picked up nominations for best single, album and female artist for the 2005 Teen Choice Awards, which are set to air Aug. 16 on Fox. More information--including details on how to cast votes for the awards--is posted at Stefani's website.
