Marc Broussard pumps up tour schedule
Marc Broussard 's summer tour plans continue to grow, with the singer/songwriter adding stops in a number of major markets to his itinerary.
Among the cities added to Broussard's route are Atlantic City, NJ; Boston; New York City; Chicago; Baltimore; and Memphis. Most of the newly announced dates take place in August. Details are included below.
Following his summer outing, Broussard takes to the sea for a music-themed voyage dubbed "The Rock Boat Cruise." Other acts booked for the excursion include O.A.R., Sister Hazel, Cowboy Mouth, The Clarks, Matt Nathanson, Ari Hest and more. Details are available at the cruise's website.
Broussard continues to back his August 2004 album, "Carencro," which takes its name from Broussard's hometown in Louisiana. The set follows his 2002 debut, an EP titled "Momentary Setback." Broussard co-wrote all of the songs on the new album with some help from contributors such as Martin Sexton, Radney Foster and Jay Joyce.
Broussard's father, Ted--with whom Broussard began performing at age 5--plays guitar on "Carencro" and "Momentary Setback."
Earlier this month, Broussard released via Apple's iTunes Music store a live version of the "Carencro" cut "Home." The store also features exclusive video footage of the making of the album.
