Briefly: Live 8, Ronald Winans, Our Lady Peace, Cassidy

Citing scheduling conflicts, rapper 50 Cent has dropped off of the bill for the Philadelphia Live 8 concert, but Destiny's Child and Linkin Park have signed on.

Meanwhile, organizers have announced that Live 8 shows have been added in Toronto and Johannesburg, South Africa. Eight Live 8 concerts are now scheduled to take place around the world on July 2 to raise awareness of poverty in Africa.

Singer Ronald Winans, 48, reportedly died of heart complications Friday (6/17) at a Detroit hospital. Winans, a member of gospel group The Winans , suffered a heart attack in 1997.

Canadian rockers Our Lady Peace will release their sixth studio album, "Healthy in Paranoid Times," on Aug. 30. The DVD "Live," recorded during the band's 2003 North American "Fear of the Trailer Park" tour, hits stores the same day.

Rapper Cassidy is wanted for murder in connection with the April shooting death of a 22-year-old man in Philadelphia. According to published reports, he was expected to turn himself in on Friday (6/17).

Cassidy's sophomore album, "I'm a Hustla," is scheduled for release on June 28.
