Chevelle maps busy summer tour schedule
Chicago rockers Chevelle are gearing up for a lengthy round of summer shows, including several opening dates for supergroup Velvet Revolver.
The bulk of Chevelle's tour gets underway in early July, primarily touching down at clubs and theaters. Also planned are appearances at a few June and July radio-station festivals, and four August dates with Velvet Revolver. Details are shown in the itinerary below.
Chevelle--brothers Pete Loeffler (vocals/guitar), Joe Loeffler (bass) and Sam Loeffler (drums)--are backing their 2004 set, "This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In)." Released last September, the album follows 2002's "Wonder What's Next."
"This Type of Thinking" features the group's latest single, "Clincher," which also appears in the EA Sports video game "Madden NFL 2005." The song is streaming at the band's website.
An updated version of "The Clincher"--dubbed "The Clincher (Version 103)"--turns up on the DualDisc version of "This Type of Thinking," which Epic released in late March. The DualDisc also features enhanced sound and a 25-minute behind-the-scenes documentary, according to the label.
