Static-X, American Head Charge team for summer tour

Static-X , whose latest album hits stores June 14, will back the set with a summer outing that also features fellow rockers American Head Charge and Bloodsimple .

The run, which is booked into clubs and theaters, kicks off June 8 in Las Vegas, and dates are stacked up through early August. Details are included below.

On June 14, Static-X offers up "Start a War," its first new studio set since 2003's "Shadow Zone." The new album features returning guitarist Koichi Fukuda, who takes over for Tripp Eisen; Eisen--who replaced Fukuda following the release of 2001's "Machine"--was dismissed from the band earlier this year after he was arrested and charged with sex crimes involving underage girls.

Three cuts from "Start a War," including first single "I'm the One," are streaming via a media player posted at Static-X's website.

American Head Charge--which is backing its February release, "The Feeding"--has also undergone a lineup change; the group has recruited guitarist Benji Hellberg (Black Flood Diesel) to replace late axe-slinger Bryan Ottoson, who died of an apparent prescription-drug overdose in April.

Bloodsimple issued its debut set, "A Cruel World," in late March.
