The Killers plan summer U.S. shows

Las Vegas alt-rock quartet The Killers , currently in the midst of a spring headlining tour, are lining up a summer jaunt that will visit a mix of clubs and theaters.

The band's newly announced July and August shows include some dates that were rescheduled from this spring, when a portion of the itinerary was re-routed. Details are shown below.

The Killers broke through in the U.S. more than a year ago on the strength of the single "Somebody Told Me," as well as dates in support of Morrissey.

Despite their Sin City origins, The Killers first got signed in the U.K. by the indie label Lizard King, which issued the cut "Mr. Brightside" in 2003. That single was the catalyst for a U.K. tour, followed by an appearance at the CMJ Music Festival in New York that led to the group's deal with Island Records.
