Santana readies for the road, fall dates unveiled
With the launch of their spring/summer jaunt quickly approaching, guitarist Carlos Santana and his band have announced additional North American tour dates for September and October.
The newly announced shows will follow the Sept. 6 release of a new Santana album titled "All That I Am." The set features guest appearances from Los Lonely Boys , Mary J. Blige, Will I Am and OutKast's Big Boi.
The album was initially scheduled for release this spring. According to an announcement on Santana's website, work is continuing on some tracks prior to the final mastering.
“'All That I Am' is an extension and continuation of a vision co-created by Mr. Clive Davis and myself," Carlos Santana said in a statement. "We equate what we do with the dimensions of a three-ring circus or a Cirque du Soleil where children, teenagers, parents and grandparents can share unity and harmony in the family of life. We create songs and magic pairing to bring joy and happiness to the listener."
Santana kicks off its spring tour--which runs for more than a month--May 30 in Tampa. The month-long fall leg launches Sept. 15 in San Jose, CA. Details are in the itinerary below.
