Alan Jackson continues to plot his 2005 travels
Always road-ready country star Alan Jackson has added a slew of appearances to his 2005 itinerary, including many on the U.S. fair circuit.
The fair dates, which have been surfacing in recent weeks, augment a healthy number of summer amphitheater shows. Jackson is also scheduled to perform June 10 at the CMA Music Festival in Nashville, and several other festival appearances dot his itinerary as well. Details are below.
Jackson's latest album, "What I Do," surfaced last September, and debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 album chart.
Sara Evans and The Wrights will support Jackson on the road through May. Evans is backing 2003's "Restless." The platinum-certified set features the hits "Perfect" and "Suds." The Wrights--featuring Jackson's nephew, Adam Wright, and Wright's wife, Shannon--delivered their debut set, "Down This Road," earlier this month.
Jackson, a three-time CMA Entertainer of the Year award winner, has recorded 14 albums, earned 31 No. 1 singles and sold more than 43 million records over the course of his career, according to a press release.
He is nominated for Top Male Vocalist in this year's Academy of Country Music Awards, which will be handed out Tuesday (5/17) at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, and will be broadcast live on CBS-TV. Jackson is scheduled to perform during the ceremony.
