Eagles add more dates to California tour itinerary
The Eagles --who earlier this week wrapped up a spring run--have tacked additional nights onto previously scheduled stops in the L.A. area during a planned late-summer outing.
The new dates extend originally scheduled one-off September concerts in Anaheim and Los Angeles to three nights each; tickets for all six shows are scheduled to hit the box office on April 18. Details are shown below.
With the addition of the new dates, the band is now slated to play eleven California concerts, plus a show at Lake Tahoe on the California/Nevada border, during the months of August and September. Venues range from indoor arenas to fairgrounds
In addition to regular ticket sales, the Eagles are offering VIP packages via ILoveAllAccess.com, a premium-ticket service that was rolled out last year. More information is posted at ILoveAllAccess.com.
Last month marked the release of "Eagles Box," a limited-edition box set that includes all seven Eagles albums released between 1972 and 1980. Also included is a bonus CD-single featuring the tracks "Please Come Home for Christmas" and "Funky New Year."
During an April 8 appearance on "The Howard Stern Show," Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh confirmed that he and his bandmates--Glenn Frey, Don Henley, and Timothy B. Schmit--have been working for some time on a new album, but no release date has been set.
The Eagles' "Greatest Hits 1971-1975," which has sold over 28 million copies, is the top-selling album of all time in the U.S. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
