Briefly: Britney Spears, Unwritten Law, All Good Festival, Gomez
After weeks of speculation in the tabloids, Britney Spears has confirmed that she and her husband, Kevin Federline, are parents-to-be.
"The time has finally come to share our wonderful news that we are expecting our first child together," says a message on Spears' website. "There are reports that I was in the hospital this weekend, Kevin and I just want everyone to know that all is well. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers."
Guitarist Rob Brewer has exited Unwritten Law due to "a number of volatile circumstances involving disputes between Rob and various band members, as well as interaction between Brewer and the fans," according to a Lava Records statement. The band will continue as a four-piece band.
"It was an incredibly difficult decision, albeit the right thing to do given the recent circumstances," vocalist Scott Russo said in the statement.
The group, set to support on Sum 41's upcoming tour, will hit the road as scheduled.
String Cheese Incident and The Flaming Lips will co-headline the 9th annual All Good Music Festival, set for July 15-17 at Marvin’s Mountaintop in Masontown, WV.
The music/camping event will also feature Les Claypool, Keller Williams, Dark Star Orchestra, Umphrey's McGee, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Yonder Mountain String Band, Drive By Truckers, Particle and others.
More information is available at the event's website.
Gomez will release a two-disc live set titled "Out West" on June 7. It was recorded during a sold-out, three-night, January 2005 engagement at The Fillmore in San Francisco.
