Brooks & Dunn, Big & Rich, Warren Brothers team for tour
Country duos Brooks & Dunn , Big & Rich , and The Warren Brothers join forces for a late-summer/early fall run aptly named the "Deuces Wild" tour.
The 32-date trek kicks off in early August and touches down at sheds throughout the U.S. before wrapping up at the end of October.
The tour continues Brooks & Dunn's tradition of annual, multi-act outings; last year, the duo set out with Montgomery Gentry and Gretchen Wilson.
Headliners Brooks & Dunn will have time to warm up for the "Deuces Wild" outing during a series of spring and summer shows. Details are included in the itinerary below.
"Kix [Brooks] and I are appreciative of the fact that we get to take a look at the roster of up-and-coming talent each year and pick acts that we feel show promise," Ronnie Dunn said in a statement. "But, more importantly, we look for artists that bring an 'entertainment factor' to a multi-act live show."
During the "Deuces Wild" tour, Brooks & Dunn will "unveil their new, state-of-the-art 576-square foot LED projection screen that will accompany the live music with videos and new footage shot especially for this tour," according to a press release. The duo is working on the live production with visual director Marcia Kapustin, who has worked with U2, The Rolling Stones, Metallica, Paul McCartney, KISS and Elton John, among others.
Brooks & Dunn are currently in the studio wrapping up their ninth studio album. The pair--whose most recent release is last October's "Greatest Hits II," a collection that features 14 previously released cuts along with three new songs--have sold over 27 million records since their 1991 debut, according to their publicist.
Big & Rich are backing their May 2004 release, "Horse of a Different Color," which the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified double-platinum earlier this year, signifying U.S. shipment of 2 million copies.
The Warren Brothers, featured on the CMT reality show "Barely Famous," are slated to deliver a new album this summer.
