Briefly: Dave Matthews Band, Aerosmith, Dishwalla, Xingolati cruise
A bus driver for the Dave Matthews Band has pleaded guilty to illegally dumping 800 pounds of raw sewage into the Chicago River last August, showering people in a tour boat below with liquid human waste.
Aerosmith plans to launch a tour this fall, guitarist Joe Perry told Billboard.com.
California rock band Dishwalla will drop its fifth album, a self-titled set, on March 15. The set is the band's first for new independent label The Orphanage Entertainment Group.
Three producers had a hand in the 12-track album: Bill Szymzcyk (The Eagles, The Who, BB King), Sylvia Massy Shivy (Tool, System of a Down) and Ryan Greene (NOFX, Megadeth).
G. Love and Special Sauce, Particle and the John Popper Project are among the long list of acts scheduled to perform on the Oct. 14-17 Xingolati Groove Cruise of the Pacific.
More information about the cruise from Long Beach, CA, to Ensenada, Mexico, is available on its website.
