Briefly: 50 Cent, Jennifer Lopez, Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, Rod Stewart
50 Cent 's new album, "The Massacre," sold about 1.14 million copies during its first four days in stores, easily enough to top this week's U.S. album chart.
According to Billboard.com, despite the abbreviated week, the sales mark was the sixth-highest for an opening week since SoundScan began tracking U.S. album sales in 1991. Interscope released the album three days ahead of schedule in an attempt to quell pirating.
Coming in a distant No. 2 on this week's Billboard 200 is Jennifer Lopez ' "Rebirth," which sold about 261,000 copies during its first week out. Jack Johnson's "In Between Dreams" enters the chart at No. 3.
Debuting at No. 4 is The Mars Volta's "Frances the Mute," while The Game's "The Documentary" drops one place to No. 5.
Stevie Wonder is set to headline Tiger Jam VII, the annual Las Vegas benefit for the Tiger Woods Learning Center. Counting Crows will also perform at the May 21 event.
Alicia Keys and Rod Stewart have joined the lineup for "Save the Music: A Concert to Benefit the VH1 Save the Music Foundation," which airs April 17 on VH1. Previously confirmed acts include Joss Stone, Rob Thomas, Queen Latifah and John Legend.
The concert will be taped April 11 at New York City's Beacon Theatre.
