Marc Broussard to launch new round of North American shows
Now on a short break after finishing a string of January and February dates, singer/songwriter Marc Broussard climbs back on his tour bus in March.
Broussard's latest leg of touring kicks off March 3 in Nashville, and dates so far run into late April. The itinerary is included below.
Also on tap is a March 1 appearance on ABC-TV's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"
In September, Broussard sets sail aboard a music-themed voyage dubbed "The Rock Boat Cruise." Other acts booked for the excursion include O.A.R., Sister Hazel, Cowboy Mouth, The Clarks, Matt Nathanson, Ari Hest and more. Details are available at the cruise's website.
Broussard is working the stage behind "Carenco," the follow-up to his 2002 debut, an EP titled "Momentary Setback." Released last August, the new set takes its name from Broussard's hometown in Louisiana. He co-wrote all of the songs, along with help from contributors such as Martin Sexton, Radney Foster and Jay Joyce.
As was the case on "Momentary Setback," Broussard's father, Ted--with whom Broussard began performing at age 5--plays guitar on "Carenco."
A full-length, downloadable version of "Carceno" is available for free at Broussard's website. The file, which will be available for a limited time, has an embedded feature that restricts use to a total of five plays. More information is posted at the site.
