Lenny Kravitz to tour North America this spring
Lenny Kravitz , who last year canceled a planned fall tour, is now set to hit stages in North America during a spring outing.
Dubbed "Electric Church: One Night Only!," Kravitz's outing comprises stops at theaters in 27 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada. The run kicks off April 5 in Dallas, and dates stretch into late May. Details are shown below.
Tickets are scheduled to hit the box office on Feb. 19, according to Kravitz's publicist.
The outing backs Kravitz's seventh studio release, last year's "Baptism." The album features the cuts "Where Are We Runnin'," "Storm" (featuring Jay-Z and remixed by Just Blaze), "California" and latest single "Lady."
Kravitz originally planned to launch a North American trek behind the album last fall, but scrapped those plans due to unspecified "family reasons," according to a press release.
"I haven't been able to play for my fans in the U.S. since 2002, so I'm really looking forward to these shows," Kravitz said in a statement. "When I was planning my American tour, I decided that I wanted to get back to my roots, strip down the production and do something different. I haven't played theaters in years, and don't know when I'll be able to do it again, so this tour is going to be a great way to get out there and really connect with my fans."
Kravitz wrote, produced and arranged "Baptism" on his own, and also played all of the instruments on the set, including guitar, bass, piano and drums.
