Green Day reveals North American tour plans
Northern California pop-punk outfit Green Day 's world tour will return to North America this spring, visiting arenas in the Southeast and Midwest, as well as Eastern Canada.
The group is currently touring Great Britain, and will follow those dates with concerts in Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
My Chemical Romance will support on the North American dates, which open April 15 in the Miami area. The itinerary, which was unveiled this week on Green Day's official website, is below.
Before tickets go on sale to the general market, ticket presales will be offered via long-time Green Day merchandiser Cinder Block's ticketing system, in partnership with Baseline Ticketing (formerly String Cheese Incident Ticketing). Further information about the presales will be posted at the Green Day and Cinder Block sites, according to a press release.
Green Day's latest album, last year's "American Idiot," netted the band six Grammy nominations, including album of the year. This year's Grammys will be handed out on Feb. 13.
"American Idiot" is Green Day's first album of all-new material since 2000's "Warning."
