LeAnn Rimes follows album release with live shows
LeAnn Rimes will back her just-released album, "This Woman," with a handful of live shows that spill into the summer.
Rimes' loose-knit itinerary begins with a two-night stand in West Hollywood, CA, on Thursday (2/3) and Friday (2/4). A handful of headlining shows and festival performances follow, stretching into late July.
Tickets to a number of shows are on sale now, and members of the country singer's fan club have a shot at meet-and-greet passes. Details are posted at her website.
Included in Rimes' schedule is a stop at this year's CMA Music Festival, where she'll perform June 10, followed by an appearance at the event's June 11 Fan Fair attraction, where fans will have a chance to meet her in person.
"There's no place to have a better time than at the CMA Music Festival," Rimes said in a statement. "I get to spend personal time with my fans, who I love, plus hear some of the greatest music in the world. It's country music's most exciting week of the year."
Originally scheduled for release last October, "This Woman" was pushed back so that Rimes could first focus on "What a Wonderful World," a holiday set she issued that same month, and followed up with a holiday tour.
Despite the delay, the first single from "This Woman"--"Nothin' Bout Love Makes Sense"--hit radio stations last fall. The cut and its music video are both streaming at Rimes' website.
