Former Phish members among acts added to Bonnaroo

Guitarist Trey Anastasio and bassist Mike Gordon, both formerly of Phish, are among the performers who've been added to the lineup at this year's Bonnaroo festival.

Anastasio is booked to play a "special late night show" with his new band, according to a press release, while Gordon plans to hit the stage with New York City improv outfit Benvento/Russo Duo. Also new to the bill are Mouse on Mars, Tea Leaf Green and Old Crow Medicine .

The acts join a bill that already features previously announced performers Widespread Panic, Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, The Allman Brothers Band, Modest Mouse, Alison Krauss & Union Station and The Mars Volta. More acts will be announced in the coming weeks, according to organizers.

Set to run June 10-12, the fourth annual Bonnaroo festival--which is billed as a three-day camping event--will again take place about 60 miles south of Nashville at a 700-acre farm in Manchester, TN. More than 60 acts will appear during the event; the latest list of confirmed performers is shown below.

In addition to live music, the festival will feature a 24-hour cinema, a classic arcade with more than 100 games, a brewer's festival featuring a variety of microbrew beers and Mardi Gras parade, a comedy tent and roving street performers.

The festival grounds will also be outfitted with wireless hotspots, a digital message-board system, an Internet cafe and a music-sharing village.

Tickets go on sale Saturday (1/29) at 10 a.m. ET, and will be available exclusively through the event's website. The first three editions of Bonnaroo sold out without any traditional advertising, according to organizers.

"When we first started the festival, fans responded to Bonnaroo because it was a new and interesting concept for live music, especially in this country," Jonathan Mayers, of promoter Superfly Productions, said in a statement. "It's inspiring to hear that people now feel it's become a real rite of passage for music fans."

Past Bonnaroo festivals have spawned three volumes of live CDs and two DVD documentaries. A CD and DVD from the 2004 festival are set to hit stores in April, and plans are also in the works for a television broadcast of footage from the festival, according to organizers.
