Marc Anthony Returns To Concert Trail In June
Salsa star Marc Anthony , who wrapped up a theater tour last month, will return to the road in June and July for a 17-city arena and amphitheater tour. Anthony's self-titled English-language debut album was certified platinum in November and has climbed as high as No. 8 on the Billboard 200 album chart.
The amphitheater- and arena-dominated itinerary also includes a make-up date from Anthony's recent theater tour. Anthony canceled a March 19 appearance at The Tabernacle in Atlanta after an adverse reaction to throat medication landed him in the hospital. The Tabernacle show has been rescheduled for July 12. A March 18 appearance in St. Louis that was also canceled due to Anthony's hospitalization has not been rescheduled.
In February, Anthony logged a pair of sellouts at New York's Madison Square Garden, where he played to nearly 28,000 people over two nights, according to Amusement Business. He had sold out performances at the Garden on two previous occasions. His newly unveiled itinerary includes two shows at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles.
