Otep heads up 'Alliance of Defiance' tour

Otep [ tickets ] helms the soon-to-launch "Alliance of Defiance" tour, a triple-bill outing that will also feature fellow metal acts American Head Charge [ tickets ] and Candiria [ tickets ].

Sponsored by Jagermeister, the run kicks off on Jan. 25, and shows are confirmed through the end of February. The itinerary is included below.

"... I invite everyone to celebrate with us as we embark on a blistering, dissident cabaret of pious, pagan, pain-killing, pit-fighting festivities fitting of the ancient Bacchae," Otep's vocalist and namesake wrote in a message posted at her group's website. The goth-metal quartet is backing its second full-length, last July's "House of Secrets."

Previews of three "House of Secrets" tracks and a video for the cut "Warhead" are streaming at Otep's website.

American Head Charge offers up its sophomore set, "The Feeding," on Feb. 13. The album follows the group's 2001 debut, "The War of Art."

Candiria's latest, "What Doesn't Kill You ...," landed in stores last July.
