Gavin DeGraw stretches out winter tour

A new batch of shows extends singer/songwriter Gavin DeGraw 's current tour of the U.S. theater circuit, which backs his debut album, "Chariot."

DeGraw, who wraps up his first string of early 2005 shows Friday (1/21) in Nashville, is now slated to return to the road next month for more roadwork. The bulk of the new dates are set in February, though a lone mid-March date also graces the itinerary. Details are shown below.

Originally issued in 2003, "Chariot" was re-released last July. The new version includes the bonus CD "Stripped," which houses acoustic versions of all of the cuts on "Chariot," as well as a cover of the Sam Cooke classic "Change Is Gonna Come."

DeGraw and his band recorded the bonus disc at New York City's Dumbo Studios during a "private midnight recording session," and DeGraw laid down all of the vocal tracks in one take, according to a press release.

More information about "Stripped," including streaming audio of several tracks, is posted at DeGraw's website.

"Chariot," which debuted in the Top 10 on Billboard's Heatseeker's chart following its original release, features the cut "I Don't Want to Be"; the track is the theme song for the WB series "One Tree Hill."
