Motley Crue ticket on-sale dates, best-of details emerge

Tickets will soon hit the box office for many of the stops on Motley Crue 's 2005 reunion tour, an outing that supports the group's forthcoming, two-disc best-of set, "Red, White & Crue."

Beginning Friday (12/10), tickets will go on sale in a number of markets, with more on-sales set to start on Saturday (12/11). Details are shown in the itinerary below.

On sale dates for some shows were still pending at press time, while a lone Dec. 18 on-sale date was set for the March 6 stop in Washington, DC.

Since first announcing the tour on Monday (12/6), the group has tweaked the itinerary slightly by moving its Boston show from March 1 to March 5, and by swapping its Phoenix and Las Vegas stops, which now take place on March 19 and March 20, respectively.

The outing--Motley Crue's first tour since 1999 to feature the four original members: Nikki Sixx (bass), Mick Mars (guitar), Tommy Lee (drums) and Vince Neil (vocals)--follows the Feb. 1 release of "Red, White & Crue." The two-disc set features 37 tracks, including three new songs: "If I Die Tomorrow," "Sick Love Song" and a cover of The Rolling Stones' "Street Fighting Man."

Known for their internal squabbles, the members of Motley Crue have stayed busy with side projects since splitting up in 1999: Lee recently released an autobiography titled "Tommyland," and is scheduled to star in a new NBC reality program that will debut next year; Sixx has been touring and recording with his post-Motley outfit Brides of Destruction, and is preparing to release an autobiography titled "The Heroin Diaries"; and Neil has continued to tour as a solo artist, and was a cast member on the WB reality series "The Surreal Life."

Guitarist Mick Mars, meanwhile--who has struggled since his teens with the chronic, degenerative illness ankylosing spondylitis, according to a press release--has been successfully recovering from hip replacement surgery. The disease is a form of arthritis that primarily causes inflammation of the joints between the vertebrae and the joints between the spine and pelvis, according to the Mayo Clinic's website.

In addition to their tour plans, the members of Motley Crue, along with MTV Films/Paramount and writer Rich Wilkes ("XXX"), are developing a feature film based on the band's best-selling autobiography, "The Dirt."

On Friday (12/10), Motley Crue will perform on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," according to a press release.
