Reunited Motley Crue backs hits package with North American tour
The four original members of Motley Crue have reconvened yet again, this time for a 2005 road trip that supports a forthcoming best-of album.
Dubbed "Red, White & Crue," and featuring the new cut "If I Die Tomorrow," the album is due out on Feb. 1. The tour kick-off follows on Feb. 17 in Florida, and dates so far are set through late March. Details are shown in the itinerary below.
"Here we go again on dysfunction junction airlines," Crue members Nikki Sixx (bass), Mick Mars (guitar), Tommy Lee (drums) and Vince Neil (vocals) wrote in a message posted to the band's website on Monday (12/6). "We only guarantee one thing: it's gonna be unpredictable. God must love a drama, or he wouldn't [have] created Motley Crue. Like going to the car races, so many of us hopefully will see a car crash. [Macabre] in nature ... we expect to be entertained. We won't disappoint."
To coincide with the tour announcement, the group has launched a revamped version of its fan club. Paid members will receive access to ticket pre-sales and ticket packages, and will have a shot at meeting the band, according to the club's website.
Fan club members also have access to footage of the band's recent shoot for the "If I Die Tomorrow" music video. More information is available at the site.
The original Crue lineup last toured together in 1999, and members have since stayed busy with side projects and solo efforts. During that time, reports have frequently surfaced of squabbles between some members of the foursome.
