Steven Curtis Chapman mounts ambitious 'All Things New' tour

Contemporary Christian singer Steven Curtis Chapman is in the midst of a 70-city tour that stretches well into next year.

After finishing the first leg of the outing in mid-December, Chapman takes a break from the road until February, when he'll launch a new round of shows that run until early May. Details appear in the itinerary below.

Fellow Christian acts Chris Tomlin and Casting Crowns occupy the tour's opening slots.

Fans can expect to hear material from Chapman's recently released album, "All Things New," as well as hits culled from throughout his 17-year recording career, according to organizers. Released in late September, "All Things New" is Chapman's fourteenth album for Sparrow Records.

The tour is sponsored by Shaohannah's Hope, the Chapman family's adoption foundation, which they named after their first adopted daughter. Since his tour started in October, Chapman has raised more than $750,000 for the foundation, according to his website.

Following the Dec. 12 conclusion of his current round of concerts, Chapman heads to Disney World in Florida, where he's slated as one of several celebrity narrators who, backed by a mass choir and 50-piece orchestra, will "tell the story of Christmas in words and music," according to the event's website.
