AMAs to air 'lost' Beatles performance from 1964
A performance by The Beatles that reportedly hasn't been aired in 40 years will be broadcast during Sunday's (11/14) American Music Awards.
According to BBC and Associated Press reports, producer Dick Clark said the two-and-a-half minute segment shows The Beatles playing "She Loves You" and "I Want To Hold Your Hand" on an unknown British television show.
"We've got a wonderful old ... tape that's been lost for 40 years that nobody's seen since it first aired," Clark reportedly said. No further details were given.
The 32nd Annual American Music Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will air live on ABC-TV. Scheduled performers include Kenny Chesney, Fantasia Barrino, Josh Groban, Toby Keith, Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz, John Mayer, Maroon 5, Pharrell Williams, Jessica Simpson, Snoop Dogg, Gwen Stefani, Rod Stewart, Twista, Uncle Kracker, Usher, Kanye West and Gretchen Wilson.
Among the scheduled presenters are Clay Aiken, Pamela Anderson, Lance Armstrong, Ashanti, Jim Belushi, Big Boi, Brooks & Dunn, Chingy, Ciara, Kelly Clarkson, Sheryl Crow, Carmen Electra, Matthew Fox, Macy Gray, Kathy Griffin, Billy Idol, JoJo, Kenny G, Nick Lachey, Lil' Flip, Linkin Park's Chester Bennington & Mr. Hahn, Eva Longoria, Teena Marie, Michael McDonald, Brian McKnight, MercyMe, Mandy Moore, Nelly, Kelly Osbourne, Tony Perkins, Nicole Richie, William Shatner, Nicolette Sheridan, Gene Simmons, Anna Nicole Smith, John Stamos, Switchfoot, Serena & Venus Williams and Ying Yang Twins.
Usher leads the pack of nominees for this year's AMAs, scoring a total of four nods; OutKast and Kanye West follow with three nominations each.
