Lonestar sets more tour dates, plots acoustic shows
Lonestar has extended its current tour deeper into the fall, and has lined up a string of December acoustic performances.
The country quartet has added a handful of dates in October and November, after which the group goes unplugged. So far, eight December acoustic shows are scheduled, all of which are set on the West Coast and in the Southwest.
The group has also begun laying plans for its 2005 roadwork, with several dates scattered through the middle of next year. Details are shown below.
In addition to the upcoming concerts, Lonestar's plans include a Nov. 15 appearance on ABC's "Monday Night Football"; the group will perform the national anthem prior to that night's game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Lonestar is on tour behind its May release, "Let's Be Us Again," which is the group's first collection of new material set since 2001's "I'm Already There." The new set features the group's latest hit, "Mr. Mom," the video for which is streaming at a website that the group's label launched specifically to promote the cut.
The band's members--lead singer Richie McDonald, guitarist Michael Britt, keyboardist Dean Sams and drummer Keech Rainwater--wrote or co-wrote 12 of the new album's 13 tracks, and self-produced the cut "Somebody's Someone," according to BNA Records.
The label's website features a track-by-track commentary from the group.
