Papa Roach crawls through U.S. this fall

Papa Roach returns from Europe later this month for a new round of U.S. shows that back the Northern California rockers' recently released album, "Getting Away with Murder."

The group--which last toured the states during a brief summer pre-release jaunt--is booked to play a mix of headlining dates and radio-station festivals in late October, followed by a stretch of November headlining shows.

Released last month, "Getting Away with Murder" sold about 50,000 copies during its first week out, and debuted at No. 17 on The Billboard 200 album chart.

Frontman Jacoby Shaddix said in a statement that the group ventured into uncharted waters on the album.

"We're still a tough rock 'n' roll band, but we weren't afraid to break out of our shell and use more melody this time," he said.

"When I go back and listen to this record, it just makes me feel good," he added. "People ask me what I'm listening to lately. I ain't gonna lie, dude. I'm listening to 'Getting Away With Murder' obsessively. I believe in it so much."

The album's title track recently topped the Active Rock radio chart, and the song's music video is now in rotation on MTV thanks to fans who cast enough online votes to make it the channel's latest Viewers Pick Video.

Last week, Papa Roach was in Los Angeles shooting a video for its next single, "Scars."
